“The Worker” is a play that presents more questions than answers. It invites us to explore our connection to it, to each other, and especially to family and work. As a director, communicating my vision is more clear than ever. I’ve surrounded myself with people who challenge me to do better, as I also challenge them. Our conversations – and conflicts – add layers of connection and emotion to the performance. We see pieces of ourselves in Woman, Man, and even The Messenger. Will we meet our challenges with grace or despair? What do we define as success in our lives? And how will we answer the most important question when the time comes: Chocolate, Vanilla, or Strawberry?
